[55320] |When 19th century Norwegian banker and philanthropist Thomas Heftye called a meeting at his office, the agenda was "the suitability of founding a trekking association," as described by poet and writer Aasmund O. Vinje in 1866 in the Dølen newspaper. [55330] |Two years thereafter, Den Norske Turistforening (DNT) - the Norwegian Trekking Association - was founded. [57330] |The staffed lodges are fully equipped and serve three meals a day: breakfast, lunch pack and filling of your thermos and dinner.
